This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or place an order, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

We collect personal information you provide directly to us, and information collected automatically when you use the site:

  • Order and account information: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and details of the products you order.
  • Vehicle information: where you tell us your vehicle’s make, model, engine and year (via the vehicle fitment search, a WhatsApp enquiry, or an email) so we can confirm the correct product fitment.
  • Communications: the content of enquiries you send us via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp.
  • Payment information: our payment gateway processes your card or payment details directly — we do not store your full card number on our own systems.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically through cookies and analytics (see Cookies below).

Why we collect it

We use your personal information to:

  • Process and deliver your orders, and communicate with you about them.
  • Confirm correct product fitment for your vehicle.
  • Respond to enquiries submitted via the website, email, or WhatsApp.
  • Process warranty claims and returns.
  • Improve the website and our product range, using aggregated, anonymised analytics data.
  • Comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where necessary to run our business:

  • Payment processors, to process your payment securely.
  • Delivery/courier partners, to deliver your order to you.
  • Our authorised reseller network, only where you have asked to be referred to a reseller in your area.
  • Service providers who support our website, email and analytics systems, under agreements that require them to protect your information.
  • Regulators or authorities, where required by law.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site — including the shopping cart — may not work correctly without them.

How long we keep your information

We retain order and account information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting and warranty-related record-keeping requirements (South African tax law generally requires financial records to be kept for 5 years). Where information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Your rights under POPIA

  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Ask us to delete personal information we no longer have a lawful basis to keep.

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe we have not complied with POPIA — inforegulator.org.za.
